Not as bad actually. Last time i had flu was 10 years ago and i ended up in hospital for four days. Only had one really bad day the rest of the time it was shortness of breath. Chris, I went to see the Dolls in Glasgow just before i went on hols. So good, incredible one of the best gigs for a very long time. Can now cope with Thunders not being there. H

The other people I have talked to who got the flu say much of the same. Seems the media has created a real hysteria out of this..... but whatever sells papers, I guess. You went to seet the Doll? Good for you:-)))) Fuck, I'm jealous now. I only saw them once since the reunion at the Morrisey Meltdown. They played in Oslo a few weeks ago, but I was in Sweden at the wedding of ex Trashcan Darlings' bassist on that day and didn't get to see them. Hope I get a chance again. I have a feeling they're better now. When I saw them it was great and very touching to see Kane on stage and seeing him smile and all that, but it didn't feel like a band. The new guys looked and felt like hired guns. Now they have been together for so long in this incarnation that I bet it's more like a real band.

Well, so one bit of shit news and one good!
By coincidence, our baby girl picked it up just as we came back off holiday too - four months old and unable to hold anything down, the poor little thing was just throwing anything up including any medication. Bounced back though and it didn't spread, but they gave us tamiflu for our 3 year old just in case. Having seen the recent news reports re: side effects that might never get used!
Great to hear you enjoyed the Dolls. I think the only other UK show they did was Lovebox but I've got one eye on the Forum show in December.
Did Sir G of Dixon make it along?

That's awful, Sandy!
How does one know the difference between swine flu and the normal one?

Got to get a Doc out and they'll diagnose it. Your not supposed to go to them in case anyone else gets infected. Sorry to hear about your friends dad Sandy. The severity of the disease seems to be very unpredictable. H
