If this is nothing to do with legal reasons and purely fuelled by spite, then this is pretty shitty.
I could understand if Anthony and Hagar were only in the band for an album or two and not a part of the "big picture". However, Anthony was a mainstay and Hagar appeared on far more releases. (Apologies if that fact was wrong as have never followed them that closely) Both frontmen were equally commercially successful, with opinion divided purely on personal taste.
That documentary with the joint Roth/Hagar tour did open my eyes though. With Hagar whining regarding the size of his hospitality suite. "I'm a multi-platinum artist", "There's not enough room for dinner with the 100 close friends I have arriving" etc etc Yes, it WAS Hagar whining. Editing or not, these are things that do irritate me haha

Oh yeah, I'm fine. Do you think we will ever see the days again where the band standing on the stage realizes that those 10's of thousands of people in the audience are there to see THEM and they are going to revel in that fact? I saw that last year watching the totally bad ass Maiden tour. If you want to see a great movie Carl, pick up Flight 666. Even if you're not into Maiden, it's refreshing to see that the rest of the world is not like North America IE:Obsessed with Britney, Hip Hop and bands recycling past hits...worst offence I've heard yet is the "Africa" Toto horror show. I knew Maiden was big around the world, but Christ, they are fucking huge! It's so cool to see a packed stadium in India with everyone singing along. I have so much more respect for these guys after watching this Doco. They wanted to play places around the world that logistically were not possible from a routing perspective. They get a modified 757 Jet and take all their gear with them and have Bruce fly the plane. 25 bucks for two DVD's, Doco and a full concert with songs from around the world. Bands like Maiden and Cheap Trick impress me with their staying power and boundless energy for guys in their 50's and 60's! Dickinson revels in the adulation of the crowd. He feeds off it. Young bands should watch a band like this and learn. Big songs, Big production, solid playing. Green Day has learned how to do this quite well now. I saw Green Day on the last tour and was blown away with their whole production. Anyway Dickinson seems to really revel in the audience love in this song and shows it.

What does he expect, Roth shows up with strippers and midgets and Hagar shows up with his mop and parachute pants. Decision = Roth It was on Youtube last year, I read that it actually never aired...not sure if that is true or not.

Well, from everything I have seen of that DVD and those shows in general just shows me that Dickinson is a fucking freak of nature, so he kind of doesn't count. Seriously, no human being his age, should fly a plane around the fucking world like he did, in the amount of time he did, and still be able to perform with that energy level and with that vocal ability. The guy is a freak, that is all there is to it.
