Kiss bassist Gene Simmons (Chaim Witz): "I'm Israeli. I'm a stranger in America. I'm an outsider" Oh but when it came to making money off us that was quite alright; he was totally American. Yes, Gene......the country that got you rich and famous......that got you the blond trophy wife and countless other Gentile groupies, even though you're ugly as sin.....yes, the thousands of record sales and adoring fans in this country......yes, you've been treated like a real "outsider" here. .....like you could of had these opportunities in Israel...... If you're so damn proud of your heritage, why didn't you take a Jewish wife then ? You've essentially killed the carrying on of your faith and heritage, as the Jewish bloodline is passed on through the mother. ALL THESE YEARS OF ADORING AMERICAN FANS AND HE SAYS THIS?www.thejidf.org/2011/03/kiss-bassist-gene-simmons-labels.html

I don't get your aggression here. The USA has always been very supportive of Israel, so I don't see any problem with Gene loving both Israel and America. I don't see anything particularily wrong with what he's saying either. He's proud of his heritage, that's all I see. In the last couple of lines he praises America for the opportunities he's been given there.
He's against the artists who boycott's Israel as would be typical for a far-right guy like Gene.
Don't get me wrong. I disagree with Gene a lot and think as he's gotten older his douchebaggery on a lot of issues has gotten more blatant, but I just can't see the argument you're making here. Did I miss anything?

Sort of. He said he felt like an outsider in America and I responded to that! Really? He felt like an outsider? Like America really shunned him and made him feel like an outsider. How many American fans and Musicians praised Kiss and Gene over the years. As far as America being supportive of Israel... That would be our Zionist Government. I for one do NOT support Israel and more and more people (Including Jewish Communities) are starting to see what is really happening in occupied Palestine but that is another topic altogether and I am here to talk music and musicians. I am offended by Gene's remarks and that is life I guess. We all get offended a time or two.

I see your point. I thought he covered that pretty well in his last paragraph and I took the outsider part more as him being a quircky kid and all that... which he no doubt must have been:-)

I am going to go out on a limb at figure that line was taken out of context. I am thinking he was possibly talking about when he first came to the country, or growing up. Or he is speaking of in his heart, and not meaning it as an attack on the country itself, but more of where he is starting to feel he belongs. You can love a country, and still feel like a bit of an outsider.
As for that part of the world, I'm starting to think the US should just say "lets let the cats and dogs be." We will never win any friends over there that won't eventually turn with the tides. In some ways, I think our countries isolationist forefathers had the right idea. Sorry to say. Digging further and further into my history books, it is becoming painfully obvious where the US started to go wrong, and what has lead to this countries current state.
