www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0979616301?ie=UTF8&tag=gwydtowe-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=1634&creativeASIN=0979616301I've just seen this in Waterstones - didn't even know it was being published! McCoy must have some serious tales to tell. "The last great rock 'n' roll memoir, Andy McCoy's autobiography covers the legendary guitarist's life and exploits from childhood through to the rekindling of his massively influential band, Hanoi Rocks, in the 2000s. McCoy helped introduced punk to Finland from an early age - and from their base in a Stockholm subway station Hanoi Rocks embarked on a wild death-defying jet-setting thrill ride. Includes dozens of rare, candid photos and a new preface written by McCoy in 2009 after the final breakup of Hanoi Rocks."

There have been 2 bios on Andy released in Finnish over the years. Apperantly both of them are very similar. This is a translation of the last one that came sometime in the 90's. Obviously with some updates. According to people who have read it it's full of Andy's usual lies, but apperantly a good read.
I ordered a copy from Play.com, but haven't gotten it yet.

I've ordered it off Amazon, expected delivery date about Feb 2nd. If his guest 'appearances' in Crue's 'The Dirt' are anything to go by this will be one of those books that make you feel grubby reading it ....

I just finished reading this a few weeks back. I got it from amazon.com. The translation in some parts is a bit disjointed, but there are some interesting stories about GNR that I'd never heard about and found the stuff during the iggy tour entertaining. I expected it to be a lot longer, it's a pretty quick read all in all. The best music based book I've read in a long time is Ron Wood's autobiography. I found it really entertaining. When you're reading it, you feel like Ronnie is right there telling you all his tales from over the years - www.amazon.com/Ronnie-Autobiography-Wood/dp/0312366523

Sandy, did you ever read Ian MacLagan's bio that covers his time with Faces? I've been meaning to get my paws on that one for years, but something always got in my way.

Ah yes.I read this Andy's book many years ago in Finnish, and if I remember right,it was entertaining, but nothing new. The Iggy Pop on tour was funnier,it's mainly about Andy, haha.

As in the Alvin Gibbs book sherrimoo? I've picked up a copy of that now as McCoy mentions it in his, and so far it seems, as you say, a lot more informative on the subject of Andy than his own book! Definitely recommend it over 'Sheriff McCoy' which proved a little disappointing. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1899598170?ie=UTF8&tag=gwydtowe-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=1634&creativeASIN=1899598170
