I'm sitting here at work listening to some tunes, finding inspiration, and I have chosen to spend a few minutes with Wrabit.
Wrabit were a band that as a kid I always saw the cover for the debut and always was curious about it. Due to their logo I was convinced they had to be VERY similar to Van Halen. But I never got up the guts to check them out.
Flash forward a year ago, or so. I finally tracked down the MP3's from the debut. Turns out, though they had a flashy great guitarist, they were more like a Jefferson Starship than anything else. Incredibly hooky Poppy Rock, with a vocalist who could seriously front a Starship cover band and still blow people away. Normally I don't like high singing guys like this, but he appeals to one much like Slick and Balin do with Starship. They're just so ridiculously good that you can't get it out of your head.
Anybody know what happened to them? Since they are Canadian, I figure Sandy might have a track on them.

Here's Wrabit: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOp75v8cfxgThat't the first song on the album. It gets better from there. I see other songs posted from them on You Tube from other albums, I'll have to check those out.
