With a mere 18 weeks to go till Christmas, it's that time of year for the old 80s hair bands to dust off their leather pants, make an appointment for a perm, and earn some dollar for the holiday season! Europe play at the Relentless Garage, Highbury on Sunday 1st November. Gun play the O2 Academy, Islington on Thursday 26th November. LA Guns play the Underworld, Camden on Monday 21st September. Magnum play the O2 Academy, Islington on Friday 6th November. New York Dolls play the HMV Forum on Friday 4th December. The Quireboys and Wolfsbane play the HMV Forum on Friday 11th December. Ratt play the O2 Academy, Islington on Tuesday 1st December. Skin play the O2 Academy, Islington on Monday 7th December. Terrorvision play the O2 Academy, Islington on Thursday 10th December. W.A.S.P. play the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Wednesday 2nd December. The Wildhearts play the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thursday 1st October Y & T play the O2 Academy, Islington on Saturday 7th November. ZZ Top play the Wembley Arena on Wednesday 28th October. Tis the season to be jolly (skint!)

I will go see WASP when they come here. They also have a new album coming out in early October that I'm looking forward too.

Blackie needs to get a writing partner or someone to tell him he's rehashing a lot of the same melodies. I love WASP though. KFD was a great obnoxious bundle of quasi industrial metal. Although Stace, to be fair, most of these guys had pretty stellar careers until Grunge wiped them all out. I would have probably got pretty disillusioned going from playing arenas to 500 seaters and packed it in for a while. Ha ha..just as I am writing this a Telus commercial (mobile phone company) came on with Europes the Final Countdown as the background music. How fitting!

That's a very London-centric list of dates. Bloody southerners. To be fair, some of the above -- The Wildhearts, Europe, etc. -- never went away, their distribution budget did. Speaking of Wildies. They're currently giving away a new free download 'The Snake, The Lion, The Monkey and The Spider'. Very Spaceage Playboys with some, eh, Jungle Book thrown in for good measure (you'll see). The mp3 is at their dotcom -- which is currently not working -- but is also listenable at their myspace: www.myspace.com/thewildheartsD.

Hehe, I only got the listing from a London ticket agent site that I check, they're probably doing all the usual dives around the country too.
